  1. Informative article however, one has to remember that Solar (and wind) can only produce power 10 – 30% of the time. I have seen many comparisons between coal, natural gas, hydro, nuclear and solar. When making the comparison between Solar/Wind and the rest, one has to account for the 70-90% inefficiency of Solar/Wind. Meaning, they are not one-to-one when stacked against coal, natural gas, nuclear etc..
